Canterbury Tales

I believe the Chaucer selected these specific sterotypes because he wanted to show that all different kinds of people go through the same places. Chaucer wants us to open our eyes to them and really imagine them. He wants us to invision them. Also to show that either rich or poor a person can be good. I also believe he wants us to see all people from a certain type of angle.
Each character had its own role in this paticular society. I believe that Chaucer wants us to realize that it takes each and every one of these types of people to make the world go round. With this society these characters are the people who peers look up to. These characters have impacts on everyones life.
I do believe that this is an honest depiction of this time era and the people. It very well shows what it was like back then. It also gives the time era more of a personality. Chaucer makes it easier to see what it was like back then and to be able to put yourself in that time era.
Characters in a video game are very important. For the longer video games, I enjoy it when they have a background story on the characters. If your characters are boring then why would you want to play the game? Usually characters are well put together and have good personality.
I don't think that characterization is only important in books and movies, I believe that in fact without it you could not have a video game. If there is no plot and the characters are not interesting noone would want to play video games. In my personal opinion there has to be some type of characterization in video gaming to make it work.
